HENKEL CORPORATION, THE MANUFACTURER AND EXCLUSIVE LICENSEE OF THE GE SEALANTS & ADHESIVES FAMILY OF PRODUCTS, IS ANNOUNCING SEVERAL NEW CHANGES TO ITS GE-BRANDED CONSUMER SILICONE SEALANTS. THESE CHANGES WILL BROADEN THE PRODUCT LINE’S RETAIL AVAILABILITY AND HELP TO SIMPLIFY PRODUCT SELECTION.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 28, 2020) – Henkel Corporation, the manufacturer and exclusive licensee of the GE Sealants & Adhesives family of products, is announcing several new changes to its GE-branded consumer Silicone sealants. These changes will broaden the product line’s retail availability and help to simplify product selection.

Among these changes is the introduction of all new packaging across the GE Sealants & Adhesives silicone lineup. With the introduction of a simplified design on the front of the packaging that describes the product’s features and benefits, it will now be easier for consumers to shop for GE-branded Silicone sealants, as this information will be clearer for them to understand and compare.

“In a recent Path to Purchase study conducted on behalf of GE Sealants & Adhesives, 42% of consumers said they’ve made a mistake in purchase when shopping the caulk and sealant category, and 24% have walked away without making a purchase because they were confused,” said Lauren Nicolas, Marketing Communications Manager – Consumer marketing, GE Sealants & Adhesives. “We believe this revamp of our consumer silicone product packaging will make the line one of the most shoppable brands in its category. The way we communicate features and benefits will help the consumer to clearly differentiate the various products within our silicone line and across the category.”

Additionally, Supreme Silicone Kitchen & Bath sealant will be relaunched with a new and advanced formula that meets ASTM C-920, Class 50 specifications, for added flexibility.  That’s in addition to the other features and benefits that include – 100% waterproof, lifetime mold-free product protection, exceptional adhesion, and exposure to water in as little as 30 minutes. Based on increased consumer demand for this product, Supreme Silicone sealants will be available at Lowe’s stores nationwide in March and can also be found at other select hardware stores.
